 Brewster has been buying and selling collector vehicles in online auctions since 2005, initially on eBay Motors. He listed his first car on Bring a Trailer in 2017, using the handle AlfaBase. Brewster went to work for BaT as a staff member until April 2022, and has since put his experience and extensive automotive knowledge to work as a concierge for enthusiast and car club friends preparing cars for sale. Brewster is the president of the Capital Chapter of the Alfa Romeo Owners Club, two time past national AROC president, vice president of the Mid-Atlantic Austin-Healey Club, and a member of the Cadillac, Fiat, Mercedes-Benz, MG, and Volvo clubs.

Meet Bobbie MG, Brewster's 1970 MG MGB. This car channels Janis Joplin; not a beauty queen, but will win you over with soul. I bought Bobbie as a non-running project in 2022, and the good team at London Auto got her back on the road. This vintage British roadster was born blue, and now wears metallic red paint with significant patina. Nice top, decent interior, and always starts right up and loves to run.  Coach House has long been a top-tier RV maker, and this 270XL is one of  their legendary models. This one is powered by a Ford Triton V10 engine,  and it has only 30,500 miles on it. It has been in current ownership  for four years, including trips to New Orleans and Cape Cod. The cabin is luxurious with twin leather captain's chairs in as-new  condition and wood trim. The back is set up with seating for 8+  additional travelers. The rear benches convert to beds, and there is a  side "room expander" bump out. At the very rear is a bathroom with  toilet and shower. Of course the RV also has a quality refrigerator,  stove, microwave, and sink, tons of storage space, all the good stuff. Additional features include a tow hitch, utility hook-ups, and a generator. The rear axle is a dual (2 wheels each side). Everything is working well, except the A/C needs to be charged. There are no warning lights on the dash or other issues.
 

The RV was sold new in Florida in 2003 and it cost $115,000 -- which in  today's money would be $200,000+. This was a serious investment then, and  30,000 miles later, it is a serious bargain. The RV is available for inspection at my house in Alexandria. If you are  not local you could fly into DCA, IAD, or BWI and drive home, or I would  consider delivering the RV. My friend John Erskine's beloved 1979 Fiat Spider 2000 was purchased from its original owner 25 years ago. Work since then has included engine and exhaust system performance modifications, rebuilding the suspension and transmission, and repainting and top replacement.  It rides on 14″ Panasport alloy wheels and is equipped with a black soft top, a top boot, a roll bar, four-wheel disc brakes, a Momo steering wheel, a Pioneer CD stereo, and a twin-pipe exhaust system.  This Spider sold for $12,000 in Bring a Trailer auction that ended August 2, 2025.

My 2005 Mercedes-Benz CLK55 AMG cabriolet is one of just 662 made. It is finished in Pewter Metallic over Charcoal leather upholstery and is powered by a 362-horsepower, hand-built 5.4-liter V8 paired with a five-speed automatic transmission with manual shift buttons. A true European performance car, this is also one luxurious convertible cruiser, and it has been well kept with 92,000 miles on its clock. This AMG cabriolet is featured in a Bring a Trailer auction that ended July 29, 2025.

This striking track car was long maintained and then owned by Julio Matos at Milano Motors. The prior owner modified the car for track use with a roll bar and lightened interior. This classic Alfa was featured in a Bring a Trailer auction that concluded on May 7, 2025 with a $33,750 sale.

John traveled to Maine in 2016 to check out this rare 1956 Austin-Healey 100 BN2, and was so impressed with the quality of the restoration that he bought it on the spot. The car has a Heritage certificate documenting it is an original red and black car, and it has a beautiful black leather interior. The  hood is a "LeMans tribute" look with louvers and leather strap. This car runs as nicely as it looks. This Big Healey was featured in a Bring a Trailer auction that concluded on December 3, 2024 with a $48,500 sale to a California bidder.

This striking top-of-the-line 1987 Alfa Romeo Spider Quadrifoglio was owned by Julio Matos of Milano Motors, who tended to the mechanical needs of this very well-preserved example. The interior is all original with its grey leather seats and red carpets and the car feels special -- even for an Alfa! It shows just 62,000 miles. This Quad was featured in a Bring a Trailer auction that concluded on November 8, 2024 with a $15,800 sale to a local bidder.

My friend Dave owned his GTV since the 1990s, and over the past 34 years he has extensively refurbished the Italian classic. The Bertone-designed coupe shows and drives very nicely. This 105-series Alfa was featured in a Bring a Trailer auction that ended with a $29,500 sale on September 1, 2024. The new owner, Henry, set off and drove it all the way home to California!

This classic American muscle car was listed on behalf of the builder's heir. The 1971 Nova, which presents in Super Sport trim, is powered by GM's famous ZZ4 crate engine, a replacement that generates 355 horsepower and 405 lb-ft of torque.  Resplendent in metallic blue paint with a black vinyl top, this car would be central casting for an all-American 1970s film. This Nova was featured in a Bring a Trailer auction that ended August 29, 2024 when it sold for $20,000.

This garaged and pampered 2000 Porsche Boxster S comes from the collection of Steve, another of my car club friends. The Boxster started strong and the addition of the S model took it to the next level, with 250 hp and a 5.5-second zero to 60 time. Arena Red Metallic paint and a Savanna Beige full-leather interior set this 47,000-mile car apart. This car was featured in a Bring a Trailer auction that ended on Thursday, August 29, 2024, fetching $14,795.

My friend Carey has presented me my first opportunity to represent an Austin-Healey on Bring a Trailer. This lovely 1959 100-6 is a six-cylinder, four-seat edition with old English white paint and red leather seats. The car has fine vintage patina and a lovely exhaust note, and it is ready to turn some lovely country miles. The Big Healey sold on Sunday, August 11 in this Bring a Trailer listing for $22,500.

This 1985 Dodge truck is a unique survivor. It was purchased new in Arlington, Virginia, and was successively owned by 3 neighbors who carefully documented its fewer than 27,000 miles. This truck is basic but brilliant and it gets lots of attention. It runs as nicely as it looks, and has been repainted and well kept but not modified from its original spec (down to the Chrysler Corp. wheel covers and AM/FM stereo). The truck sold for $10,100 in a Bring a Trailer auction on June 15, 2024.

I bought my 2017 Fiat 124 Spider Abarth right after its star turn at the DC Auto Show. Developed with Mazda's Miata, this international vehicle was designed in Italy with an Italian-built engine installed in a Japanese-built car. I enjoyed it for 53,000 miles. It is powered by a 1.3-liter turbocharged four that turns in mileage in the mid-30s, not bad considering this is the Abarth performance version. Only 2 of these had run on Bring a Trailer, and this was the first automatic/paddle shifter one. You can learn more about my car here, and see the BaT auction that ended on January 9, 2024. This stunning truck would complete a farm, or carry your surf board, or be the ultimate rolling billboard for any business. It is in excellent running order and it drives in a less truck-like manner than one might expect. It was a Georgia truck before my friend Jack brought it to Virginia about five years ago. This Advance Design truck sold for $23,000 in March 2024 in its second run on Bring a Trailer.  Learn more about this classic truck here.

This was a remarkable find -- a 2001 Audi A6 Quattro, from the same collection as the BMW 3.0 CS and the Porsche 911 Carrera 4 -- and it had covered just 6,000 miles. The luxury performance car was truly as new. It sold for $16,250 in a Bring a Trailer auction that ended on December 22, 2023.

I have crushed on the Jeep Wagoneer since I was a kid. Finally got to own one. After I had my fun, I put it in a Bring a Trailer auction, where it sold for $8,000 on December 2, 2023.

This car was in one family for more than a quarter century. It sold for $12,250 on December 7, 2023 in a Bring a Trailer auction.

This 1979 Alfa Romeo Spider sold for $8,500 on October 17, 2023 in a Bring a Trailer auction.

This rare big Bimmer coupe has had one owner for more than a quarter century. It has a powerful six-cylinder engine and a nicely redone leather and wood interior. The car was originally silver and has been refinished in a deep Porsche blue metallic. This car has been accepted by Bring a Trailer and is expected to run before the end of August 2023. Learn more about this BMW here. It sold for $48,500 in a September 2023 Bring a Trailer auction. This car belonged to the same family as the 2003 Porsche.

Take an already desirable one-owner Porsche 996, and add the fact that it was museum quality and had fewer than 3,500 miles on it. It sold for $80,500 in a Bring a Trailer auction that ended on July 11, 2023, and headed off to live with a Porsche enthusiast in Everett, Washington. 

 Already an impressive American muscle car, this 1972 Buick GS was customized by a team affiliated with the Autoseum that included the legendary George Barris, as a special project to raise breast cancer early detection awareness. The car is powered by a 350 V8 and features a black vinyl interior with bucket seats and a three-speed Turbo-Hydramatic automatic transmission. The owner of the car worked at the Autoseum at the time of the build. Learn more about the customized Buick here.  This car did not meet reserve in its October, 2023 Bring a Trailer auction, but it subsequently sold to the high bidder at a negotiated price.

Another one-owner car, this one from the garage of my late Alfa Club friend Linda and her husband John. A beautiful and highly original example of this Milanese classic. It sold for $32,500 in a Bring a Trailer auction that ended on my birthday, April 12, 2023, and it is staying local in Virginia (this was a case of someone who looked at the car during the auction deciding to go for it). 

The 80s Cat was one of my all-time favorites. I bought this one-owner, 87,000-mile car in 2021 because the model was my mother's favorite when I was a kid. It was a treat to get to drive her in it. I consider this the most beautiful sedan of its era and it earned lots of attention, including the day it won first place in its class at the Hunt Country Classic British car show. Decided to sell this beauty to dive into an MGB. It was listed on Bring a Trailer, where it sold for $8,800 on January 9, 2023.

And now for something completely different! My friend Walter introduced me to Cyndi, who inherited this gorgeous 1915 Model T that her father lovingly restored. It is said to have been in the family for about a century. The car runs as well as it looks, and is a true brass-era car. It sold for $16,250 in a Bring a Trailer auction that ended on November 14, 2022, and headed off to live with a Ford enthusiast in Michigan. 

My late friend Ed custom-ordered this 1977 Pontiac Grand Prix new with Hurst roof panels and many other desirable options. It is a one-owner, 46,000-mile car and it runs and drives brilliantly. It was listed on Bring a Trailer, where it sold for $17,500 on October 30, 2022.

This 1976 Cadillac was sold new at Madison Cadillac of Memphis, Elvis's go-to dealer. The four-door pillarless hardtop sedan is in immaculate condition with jus 26,000 miles. It has been part of Brewster's Carriage House collection the past few years, and you can learn more about this car, nicknamed Madison Cadillac in the Bring a Trailer listing. Sold for $11,250 on October 22, 2022.

This car belonged to Richard Rehling in my local Alfa Club since 1980; I helped his wife Linda with the sale a few years after his passing. This lovely Series 2 Spider with just 98k miles came with lots of receipts and its original window sticker.  It was listed on Bring a Trailer. Sold for $15,500 on October 22, 2022.

I listed my 1988 35th Anniversary Chevrolet Corvette, with just 11,000 original miles. This model was a long-time dream of mine that I finally got to own and enjoy for a few years. The 35th Anniversary will itself turn 35 in 2023. Sold for $25,000 on September 30, 2022.

I listed this 1974 Land Rover Series III for its original owner, my friend Hans. Thanks to all who helped spread the word about this very exciting Land Rover!  Sold for $39,750 on September 17, 2022.

I listed this 1962 Alfa Romeo Giulietta TI sedan for my Alfa Club friend Jeffrey, who had imported it from Italy in 2011. The car bid to $16,000 on August 27, 2022, and was subsequently sold to the high bidder for a higher agreed amount. 

I listed this 1986 Alfa Romeo Spider Quadrifoglio for my Northern Virginia neighbors Rob and Staci. Rob had owned it since 1987. The car was sold for $9,200 on August 26, 2022. 

I listed this 1992 Alfa Romeo Spider Veloce for Jane, a flight attendant who had owned it for 26 years. The car was in need of some underside rust repair and had unknown mileage, which explains the lower than typical price for a Series 4 115 Spider. The car was sold for $9,000 on May 20, 2022. 

I listed this 1991 Alfa Romeo Spider for my friends who had owned it 20 years and were moving back to Norway. The car showed fewer than 20,000 miles when it sold for $21,000 on December 2, 2020. 

This 1967 VW Beetle was one of my favorite cars, belonging to my friend and neighbor Mitch. We used to park it on the lawn next to my Volvo 122S at 60s-themed parties. This was one listing that fell notably short of where I thought it would. The car was sold for $7,500 on October 8, 2019.

I listed this 1972 Alfa Romeo Montreal for my Alfa Romeo Owners Club friend Jack, who had owned it for nearly 20 years. The car bid to $61,000 in May 19, 2019, and was subsequently sold to the high bidder -- fellow Capital Chapter AROC member Todd -- for an agreed amount. 

I listed this 1987 Alfa Romeo Spider Quadrifoglio for my Alfa Club friend Elan, who had purchased it from me the year before. I had done substantial work on this car, and drove it to the 2018 Alfa Romeo Owners Club Convention in Montreal, so I knew it well. The car sold for $9,250 on March 12, 2019. 

My first Bring a Trailer listing was this 2008 Porsche Cayman I prepared for my Alfa Club friend Jeffrey, who had owned it from new but driven it just 7,278 miles. The car was sold for $27,500 on March 31, 2017.
