This 2016 Alfa Romeo 4C Spider came to me in a unique color, and one that suits it well. Alfa's lightweight junior supercar relaunched the brand in the United States in 2015. I first saw it at the NY Auto Show, drove one at Thruxton in the UK, and then waited a decade for one to follow me home. This car has quite the heritage and some scandalous history of its own, yet it has covered fewer than 5,000 miles.
This 4C Spider was originally yellow, but when only a few months old it was vandalized with a caustic liquid. The next owner fixed the car's cosmetics and interior, and then repainted it a blueish teal. It is the only 4C this color and it catches eyes readily. The car has just 4,500 miles as of the summer of 2025.
After picking the 4C up in Ohio and driving it home, it had its debut at our regional all-Italian car show.
